The majority of residents are employed locally and are in the tourism industry. The primary employer is Angel Fire Resort which offers summer and winter employment. Being a tourist destination brings thousands of visitors to this quiet town during the winter months. Summer, however, provides a more relaxed pace of vacationers simply enjoying the cool, fresh air and the wonderful smell of pine trees. Being a relatively young town, Angel Fire is not without its growing pains. There is an increasing number of people making Angel Fire their full-time residence. As a result the Village of Angel Fire has taken over the Village sewer and water system, They are working right now on expanding the system. There is a new community center which was completed during the Summer 98 (ask for directions - it's not on a main road). Several new office complexes have been built in the last 3 years. |

 Rise above the ordinary at the Angel Fire Resort Golf Course and Country Club. The longer-playing layouts of the front nine wind through two unspoiled canyons of aspen and spruce. The signature 6th hole features a tee box soaring 200 vertical feet above the green - 239 yeards away. The back nine offers links-style play with rolling fairways, mountain streams and plenty of bunkers to challenge every level of golfer. |
